(WHTM) -- Ever thought about driving a school bus?

An event in Cumberland County Saturday hoped to give folks the opportunity to try it out.

Rohrer Bus hosted a community day and test drive at Cumberland Valley High School.

Family-friendly activities took place, and some attendees got behind the wheel.

Organizers say the event is to encourage more people to become school bus drivers.

"Some of our best friends don't have a driver for the day because there just aren't enough people who are licensed and willing to do this job," Katie Shapley, Cumberland Valley School District supervisor for Rohrer, said. "So we are out here trying to get people interested and show them what this is all about."
