Something happened this week that hasn’t happened the previous two weeks this season: Every top-ranked team in the WPIAL and City League won.

Well, sort of.

All six that played won. For Clairton, the Bears remained the top team in Class 1A after their game against Class 2A Shady Side Academy was postponed when the Bulldogs informed them on Wednesday they didn’t have enough players to field a team.

Because of this, the game will likely be counted as a 2-0 forfeit win for Clairton eventually.

With that in mind, Shady Side Academy, which was the No. 3 team in Class 2A, is now unranked after the controversial postponement.

Other teams that moved up or into the rankings include Penn-Trafford, which replaced the team it slipped past this week; Moon as the No. 5 school in Class 5A; and Hopew
