PHOENIX — One person has died following a shooting in south Phoenix Saturday night, according to authorities.
The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened at around 7:20 p.m. near 7th Street and Roeser Road.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man who had been shot.
Fire crews responded, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the man as 43-year-old Antonio Trujillo.
Police later told 12News they interviewed 51-year-old Ramiro Gonzalez-Rios, who admitted to shooting Trujillo. Gonzalez-Rios was arrested and is facing second-degree murder charges, police said.
