MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — Human remains found in Arizona have been identified as a man whom authorities could find no record of after 1999.

In August of 2021, a property owner in Dolan Springs, Arizona, was breaking up a concrete slab in his yard and found human remains underneath.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office, working with the Anthropology department at the University of Tucson, identified the remains as a white or Hispanic man, over the age of 40, between 5'7" and 5'9" tall.

Authorities said he was believed to be buried at that location for at least 10 years, and his cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head. Despite several attempts made to identify the man, authorities were unsuccessful.
