CINCINNATI (WXIX) -One person is dead after a fire occurred at a mobile home in Crescent Springs early Sunday morning, according to firefighters with the Crescent Springs/Villa Hills Fire and EMS.

Firefighters say they were called to the 2400 block of Terra Cotta Street around 3:20 a.m. for the report of a fire with victims and pets trapped.

When they arrived at the scene, they reported heavy fire from the front of a double-wide mobile home.

The victim and two of the three pets were located 23 minutes after firefighters were alerted about the fire.

Firefighters say that the fire was under control in 30 minutes after the first group of firefighters arrived at the scene.

There were no working smoke detectors visible or sounding upon arrival, firefighters said.
