CLEMSON — Clemson football dropped from No. 8 to No. 11 in the US LBM Coaches Poll released on Sept. 7.

The Tigers (1-1) received 995 points and did not receive any first-place votes after beating Troy (1-1), a Group of Five program, 27-16 at home on Sept. 6. They trailed 16-3 at halftime but rallied to score 24 unanswered points to avoid a devasting upset loss . Clemson is the second-highest ranked ACC team, finishing behind Miami, which is No. 6.
