Health officials reopened two San Diego County beaches this weekend after water quality samples met state health standards.
Silver Strand Shoreline and Dog Beach in Ocean Beach had been closed due to high bacteria levels in the water, according to the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality.
While those beaches were reopened, an advisory was issued for the beach adjacent to the Silver Strand lifeguard tower.
“Beachgoers are advised that bacteria levels have exceeded state health standards and may cause illness,” the DEHQ said in a statement.
Beach advisories remained in effect for Bayside Park in Chula Vista, Lawrence Street in Pt. Loma, North Cove at Vacation Isle, Fiesta Island, Northwest Shoreline, and La Jolla Children’s Pool.
