PENN HILLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A kitten was rescued Saturday after becoming stuck in the engine compartment area of its owner's vehicle.
In a post from the Penn Hills Police Department, Sgt. Martinelli stopped at a resident's home and helped to rescue the kitten that became stuck inside the engine compartment of a vehicle. Advertisement
The post said not all police work contains "flashing lights and emergency calls," saying that sometimes, serving the community can be saving a kitten in need.
"Whether it’s protecting our neighborhoods, mentoring youth while working in the schools, or simply rolling up his sleeves to help a neighbor in need, Sergeant Martinelli embodies what community policing is all about," the post said.
