Although the jackpot-winning tickets in Saturday's Powerball drawing were not bought in Virginia, the commonwealth "benefitted from all the excitement," according to a Virginia Lottery media release.

During the 42 drawings of the jackpot run that ended with the $1.8 billion drawing Saturday night, sales of Powerball tickets in Virginia generated an estimated $29.6 million in profit. By law, all of that profit goes to K-12 public education in the commonwealth.

In Saturday's drawing alone, more than 266,000 Virginia Powerball tickets won prizes, including five tickets that each won $100,000 and four that each won $50,000.

The five $100,000 winning tickets were bought at:
