ORANGE CITY, Iowa — While Friday night's high school football game between MOC-Floyd Valley and Unity Christian pitted Orange City's two school's against one another, it also brought a heartbroken community together.
De Valois Stadium served as a place for Sioux County residents to mourn the loss of three MOC-Floyd Valley students and as a place to pray for the full recovery of a fourth victim of the Granville fire earlier this week.
Throughout the week, numerous area schools rallied behind MOC-Floyd Valley by wearing purple at games or through other acts of backing the Dutch.
On Friday night, the Unity Christian coaching staff wore MOC-Floyd Valley baseball jerseys in a symbolic show of support.
