The mum of a young Edinburgh man who tragically passed away has paid tribute to her son who was "loved in the community".
Locals have been making tributes across the capital for days after 22-year-old John McNab died on Tuesday, September 2 after an incident in Leith's Great Junction Street.
Lisa Petrie, 44, John's mum, remembers her son as "a lover, not a fighter" and someone who always "had everyone laughing".
She told Edinburgh Live: "John was the most bubbly, funny person I could ever imagine. He could light up a room. Even if there were disputes, he would wait a couple of minutes before cracking a joke. He’d have everybody laughing. Even as a child, John has always been mischievous, hyper, and lovable."
