U.S. — All WNBA fans have officially been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The fans have been out since July 15th, but the league had hoped for their return some time before the end of the season. However, the league can now confirm that no fans will be available until at least the beginning of the 2026 season.
"We were looking to get fans back sometime during the playoffs, but they have now been ruled out indefinitely," said commissioner Cathy Engelbert. "Fans tried to come back a couple of times during August, but they just couldn't play through the pain. They will sit out the remainder of the regular season as well as playoffs, and then will be re-evaluated at the start of next season."
