When it comes to films that satirize the rich and famous, the worst thing a film can do is not have any teeth. It’s already somewhat hypocritical when a film made with A-list stars, often in the studio system, is also criticizing the very people who let the film happen. In recent years, films like The Menu and Saltburn tried to make a larger statement about the wealthy, but they also pulled punches when it mattered the most.
