The city of Palm Springs is pushing back on some aspects of a Riverside County Grand Jury report that found the city's inadequate oversight led to the loss of $700,000 in taxpayer funds dedicated to a guaranteed income pilot program run by the disgraced nonprofit, Queer Works.
The draft response, which is set to be approved by the city council on Wednesday, Sept. 10, disagrees specifically with the claim that the lack of oversight resulted in a loss of over $700,000.
