SOLON, Ohio (WJW) -- A Solon City School District elementary school will be closed through Wednesday while asbestos testing is underway.
Leaders with the district informed Roxbury Elementary School families Sunday that classes will be canceled through Wednesday, Sept. 10, due to a possible "environmental issue" discovered over the weekend.
According to a message sent to families and obtained by Fox 8 News, environmental testing was conducted throughout the school, during which time an elevated level of asbestos was discovered in one classroom.
