CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - It was an NFL debut to forget for Browns kicker Andre Szmyt, who missed a late 36-yard field goal in a 17-16 loss to Cincinnati.

He had earlier missed an extra point.

The Browns had another chance on the next drive but Joe Flacco was intercepted by D.J. Turner off a deflection by Cedric Tillman.

Cleveland also had a promising drive end early in the 4th on a 4th-down drop by Jerry Jeudy.

The Browns took the lead in the 3rd on a TD pass from Flacco to Tillman, but the extra point from Szmyt was no good.

Flacco went 31-of-45 passing for 290 yards.

Cincinnati took at 14-10 lead to halftime after Joe Burrow’s TD pass to Noah Fant.
