AMES, Iowa —
The Iowa State Cyclones are having a great weekend. First, they beat Iowa in the Cy-Hawk showdown at Jack Trice Stadium for the first time in 14 years. Secondly, the Cyclones moved up two spots in the College Football AP Top 25 Poll to No. 14 for Week 3.
Place kicker Kyle Konrardy kicked the 54-yard field goal to give Iowa State a 16-13 lead with less than two minutes to go in Saturday's game. Sound familiar? That's the exact same length as his game-winning field goal in Iowa City last year.
Iowa State is also starting the season 3-0 for the second year in a row.
The Cyclones (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) are on the road this weekend to play at Arkansas State (1-1 overall) on Saturday.
