The Youngstown State football team welcomed in the (0-1) Robert Morris Colonials into Stambaugh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonials struck first on their opening drive with a 46-yard field goal to lead 3-0.

YSU immediately responded with a drive of their own, quarterback Beau Brungard connected with Max Tomczak for the 1-yard score as they took the 7-3 lead.

On the Penguins following drive, Brungard ran for a 72-yard touchdown to extend YSU's lead 14-7 in the first quarter, which set the tone for the rest of the game.

YSU went on to score four more times before the half as Brungard accounted for two of them. The Penguins went into halftime leading 42-3.
