The victim, previously referred to as "The Middle Child," has been identified as Rea Rasmussen, born in 1976 in Orange County, California, authorities said.

The bodies were found in two metal drums near Bear Brook State Park. A barrel containing the woman and the oldest child was found in 1985; the barrel containing the other two children was found in 2000. It is believed the victims were killed between 1980 and 1984.
