For those who may have doubted, Aaron Rodgers proved on Sunday that he still has something left in the tank.

Facing his former team and entering the field to a smattering of boos, Rodgers turned back the clock on the New York Jets in a 34-32 victory.

Rodgers completed 22 of 33 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns in his Pittsburgh Steelers debut.

“I thought he was game all day,” Mike Tomlin said after the game. “But again, you guys asked me last week, ‘Why was I confident?’ That’s why I was confident.”

In a sight for sore eyes, the Steelers scored a touchdown on their opening drive when Rodgers found Ben Skowronek. The 2024 Steelers did not score an opening drive touchdown in any of their 18 games last season.
