Injuries were a big reason why the Detroit Lions fell in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs on Jan. 18 despite putting up a franchise-record 15 wins in 2024.
The team hopes it can avoid the same injury bug heading into the 2025 season.
A good start for the Lions is the return of Pro Bowl edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, who missed most of the 2024 season after suffering a fractured tibia during a game against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 13, 2024. Hutchinson recorded 7½ sacks in just five games prior to his injury, a mark that still stood as the team-high by the end of the regular season.
