After a 34-0 win over FIU that was closer than the score lets on, Penn State stayed stagnant in the national polls.

The Nittany Lions came in at No. 2 in both the AP Top 25 poll and the US LBM Coaches Poll in Week 2. They’ve been No. 2 in the AP Poll each week thus far, while they jumped to the spot from No. 3 in last week’s Coaches Poll.

Ohio State held onto the top spot in the AP poll, while LSU, Oregon and Miami rounded out the top five. Illinois (9), Indiana (22) and Michigan (23) also made the rankings from the Big Ten.

Missouri, notably led by former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula, jumped into the Top 25 for the first time this week at No. 25.

Penn State’s nonconference schedule continues next week, hosting FCS Villanova at 3:30 p.m. on FS1 inside Beaver Stadium.
