LEAVENWORTH, Kan. —
A police pursuit through Basehor on Sunday ended with Kansas Highway Patrol officers disabling a vehicle.
According to the Basehor Police Department, deputies from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a dark gray Jeep around noon after identifying the driver as having a felony warrant. Advertisement
The driver fled.
Basehor police positioned on 155th Street to assist with stop sticks, but were unable to deploy them before the Jeep left the city.
Deputies later lost sight of the vehicle.
A black Dodge Challenger, reported as being associated with the Jeep, was later located by troopers at 155th Street and Parallel Road.
The Kansas Highway Patrol disabled it near 155th Street and Chestnut using grappler technology.
