WYANDOTTE COUNTY, Kan. —

A Kansas City, Kansas, man was arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing that left a 23-year-old dead .

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department responded to the area of the 6500 block of Kansas Avenue on Sept. 4 on reports of a stabbing. Advertisement

When they arrived, they discovered an adult man suffering from stab wounds inside a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified him as Christopher Cook, 23, of Kansas City, Kansas.

Troy D. Ford, 29, was arrested on Sept. 5 in connection with the stabbing. Ford has been charged with second-degree murder.

Ford made his first appearance in court on Monday, Sept. 8.
