BALTIMORE -- For the second straight season, the Indiana Fever are in the playoffs. Indiana clinched a spot in the postseason with a win over the Washington Mystics at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on Sunday afternoon. The playoffs begin Sept. 14.
Indiana's specific seeding is still in play, but the team has clinched at least the No. 7 seed. The Fever could finish as high as sixth if they beat Minnesota (which has clinched the No. 1 seed) on Tuesday and Golden State loses its last two games. In any other situation, Indiana will finish seventh in the standings, behind Golden State. The Fever will get a home game in the best-of-3 series this season against Atlanta (28-14), Las Vegas (27-14) or Phoenix (27-15).
