Ashby-Brandon-Evansville Football Head Coach Dan Johnson said that he believes neither team – his or the Maple Lake Irish – walked away from the Friday, Sept. 5, game – feeling like they played a clean game.

During the A-B-E home opener game, Johnson said Maple Lake struggle to take care of the football while his players struggled to execute their passing game with proper route selection.

"Multiple mental errors in our passing game cost us opportunities to finish promising drives. Luckily, our defense was opportunistic in taking the ball away from Maple Lake throughout the night," the coach said. "Our kids have continued to fight through adversity in this young season.
