A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after being struck by an NJ Transit bus on Sunday morning in Trenton, an agency spokesman said.

The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and State Street, and involved a bus on the 601 route, which operates from The College of New Jersey to Hamilton in Mercer County, according to the spokesman.

The pedestrian suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the official said.

The bus driver and four passengers on board were not injured.

Trenton police are leading the crash investigation and did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday.
