MCDONOUGH — After serving her country with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and earning numerous commendations, U.S. Army Sgt. Aisha Hardemon received the surprise of a lifetime last spring with the news that she and her family would receive a new mortgage-free home through PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program.

With the home now complete, Hardemon and her family received the keys to their new home in McDonough Friday, Sept. 5 as it was revealed for the first time in partnership with Building Homes for Heroes.

The milestone also marked the 100th home presented to a veteran by the Pulte Group, in a program that works to honor veterans.
