GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A man is facing multiple charges after warrants say he punched an ECU police officer in the face, causing him to bleed, during an arrest.

According to warrants obtained by WITN, on Sunday, 19-year-old Jordan Jones was causing a disturbance at the club Still Life at 511 Cotanche Street, by fighting with a bouncer on the sidewalk.

Warrants show an ECU police officer was trying to break up the fight and arrest Jones. Jones then punched the officer in the nose, causing him to bleed, as well as poked his fingers into the officer’s eye, according to warrants.

Jones was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting a public officer, and assault on a government official. He was given a $5,000 bond.
