SEATTLE – It didn’t take long for ultra-talented rookie safety Nick Emmanwori to make an impact play in his NFL debut.

Unfortunately for Emmanwori and the Seattle Seahawks, his debut was short-lived.

On the fifth defensive snap of Seattle’s 17-13 season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon, Emmanwori brought down star running back Christian McCaffrey for a 2-yard loss.

But on that same play, Emmanwori hurt his ankle. He initially tried to walk it off before falling to the ground, where he remained for several moments while being tended to by trainers. He then limped off the field and was later announced as questionable to return.
