Man Identified as Tyrone Howard, 21, Following Fatal Afternoon Incident

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – What began as a shooting investigation has now escalated into a homicide case after the victim, 21-year-old Tyrone Howard, died from his injuries. The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. this afternoon at 3101 Emerson Avenue South.

Police and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene after a vehicle driven by Howard crashed into a parked car outside Robco Transmission & Auto. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Howard had a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His next of kin has been notified.
