RIMROCK, AZ (AZFamily) — A pregnant woman is in the hospital after being found seriously injured in Rimrock Sunday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., Yavapai County Sheriff deputies responded to the area of Top of the Morning Drive and Beaver Creek Road in Rimrock for reports of an injured pregnant woman lying in the road.

Witnesses told deputies that a white SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, was seen leaving the scene.

The 29-year-old is seriously hurt and had to be airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital. She is expected to be alright, but it is unclear if her unborn child will survive.
