A small plane went down in a field near a California Highway Patrol office in Valencia on Sunday evening, prompting a large emergency response but leaving both people on board unharmed, according to authorities.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said they received reports of the crash at 5:06 p.m. and arrived on scene around 5:15 p.m. The aircraft came to rest nose-first in a field off the 28600 block of The Old Road, with its tail pointed into the air. Dust was visible around the wreckage, but officials reported no fire or smoke.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department’s public information officer confirmed that two people were on board the plane. Both were evaluated at the scene but did not require hospital transport. Their genders and ages have not yet been released.
