MIDDLETON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Middleton High School graduate is returning home to bring a splash of color to the Bauman Community Pool.

Just steps away from where she attended high school, Natalie Hinahara is leaving her mark.

Hinahara is painting a new mural at the community pool, incorporating birds, insects, fish and plants native to the Pheasant Branch Creek Corridor.

“Bringing all of that in to this art piece is really phenomenal to help educate the community and also to just share that passion that we really love Pheasant Branch Conservancy,” said Kiley Scherer, director of Middleton Parks and Recreation.

For the first few days of painting, students from Middleton High School joined Hinahara to help her. She hopes the experience can show students they can have a future in the arts.
