MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Some big changes are coming to John Nolen Drive this fall, which means some big changes for anyone headed in and out of downtown Madison.
Next month the City will start replacing six bridges, add three more, and start repaving the roads, bike and walking paths on John Nolen Drive.
This comes after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on maintenance on the John Nolen Drive causeway.
“The last round of maintenance we did a couple years ago was about $400,000,” said Madison Deputy City Engineer Chris Petykowski. “It came to a point where the maintenance costs were great enough, we should really decide to just replace them.”
