JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers started the NFL season in the wrong direction, losing a lopsided 26-10 game to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, and the Jaguars offense picked apart the Carolina defense from start to finish. Meanwhile, Carolina's offense struggled to finish drives with scores, repeating patterns seen by last year's team.

Carolina reached Jacksonville territory on five of their first eight drives but scored only three points in that span. Turnovers and failed fourth-down conversions contributed to the lack of scoring. Carolina's only touchdown drive came late in the fourth quarter.

Young completed 18 of 35 passes for 154 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Hubbard led the Panthers on the ground with 57 yards.
