AUSTIN (KXAN) — One of Austin's iconic restaurants just celebrated 75 years of serving the city.
Rudy "Cisco" Cisneros opened Cisco's in 1950 and on Sunday the restaurant held a party to celebrate the anniversary.
"There are so many stories encapsulated on these walls and people that knew my grandfather," said Matt Cisneros, former owner and Rudy's grandson.
Matt now runs the business with his partners Will Bridges and Bryan Schneider, who all grew up in Austin.
He says while the food has certainly brought people back over and over again, it's also the welcoming atmosphere his grandfather brought to the restaurant.
