NEW ORLEANS — You just can’t get a Saints fan down, not even when the doesn't go as planned.

“We might’ve lost this game, but we’re going to come back with vengeance, baby, ya heard me,” one fan said.

Fans left the Dome smiling, saying the game is only part of the experience. “We still enjoy it. We still are winning,” another said.

Even though the opener against Arizona ended in a loss, many say they're keeping the faith.

“It’s a new team, new coach, so we’ll just wait and see,” one fan said. The final seconds had fans on edge, but the crowd agreed that team spirit isn’t all about winning.

“It’s the first home game, and we’re just excited football season has started,” a fan said. For some, game day starts long before kickoff.
