A car was found crashed into trees in Nuneaton. Officers from Warwickshire Police's Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) discovered the Nissan Qashqai in Harefield Lane on Saturday night, September 6.
"On our arrival the driver was sat in the drivers seat smoking a cigarette," the team explained.
The driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test. In custody they provided an breath sample of 66ug in 100ml of breath and were charged with driving a motor vehicle with excess alcohol.
The driver, who has not been named, also had no driving licence. The incident followed another Nissan Qashqai incident in Warwickshire.
In the early hours of yesterday, September 7, the team were called to a collision on Coventry Road in Brinklow. The driver left the road and crashed into the trees.
