GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gator soccer team closes out non-conference play with a 2-1 loss to Georgia State Sunday night.

The Gators (4-3) and Panthers (4-3) had a late start to the game as it was delayed by an hour due to lightning in the area.

After a scoreless first half, the Gators got on the board in the 52nd minute with a goal by Madison Jones. The Panthers would go on to score the next two goals.

Gator Megan Hinnenkamp appeared to have scored with 16 minutes left in the 2nd half, but the goal was waived off due to offsides.

The Gators outshot the Panthers 18-5 and had 14 corner kicks but could not take advantage of the opportunities.
