Locals who use a popular park in Nuneaton are being warned they could be greeted by disruption. Severn Trent is carrying out ground investigations at Sandon Park and Church Lane from today (Monday, September 8).
Among the works being carried out include trail holes. This, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has said, forms part of the investigation and survey works for the installation of a new sewer main next year. It is no secret the area is notoriously prone to flooding from the nearby River Anker.
The borough council has stressed the work will not affect this season’s fixtures for Ambleside Junior Football Club. It is not yet clear how long the works will take.
