A pedestrian was killed Saturday after being struck by a vehicle in Camden, officials said.

Police responded to the intersection of 17th Street and Route 30 at about 5 p.m., Camden County spokesperson Dan Keashen said.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Cooper Medical Center, where she later died, Keashen said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, officials said.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information was available Sunday.
