To ensure the safety of attendees of Supercrawl , the festival is dialing up the security. According to Tim Potocic, the event’s director, there will be additional measures this year.

“We have a very comprehensive security plan. The city police department are hired and … Star Security is also our on-site security people. Then we are working with the city to put vehicle mitigation at the main intersections this year,” said Potocic.

He added that vehicle mitigation has been part of security measures in the past, but not last year. This year, the city offered it to the festival.

“Last year, we had police cruisers and fencing in the intersections, which adds a layer of protection, but the vehicle mitigation will be amped up a little bit.”
