A Toronto man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman found injured in a vehicle near High Park on Friday, Toronto Police said.
The 48-year-old man, identified as Trinel Thornhill, was arrested on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
Around 5:50 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a “medical call” in the Glenlake Avenue and High Park Avenue area. The victim, Serenity Brown, 21, was found with injuries inside a car and transported to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A duty inspector near the scene on Friday evening told reporters the victim was seen “having an interaction with a male and that male was seen leaving the area.” The Toronto police news release made no mention of a suspect.
