Row over skips in Tile Hill as council weighs options 'they will just be overfilled'

CoventryLive readers have been debating the suggestion for skips to be placed around Tile Hill to help residents dispose of bulky items such as furniture. Cllr Marcus Lapsa put forward the idea at last Tuesday’s full council meeting, but the proposal was met with scepticism from the cabinet member responsible.

He argued skips had successfully reduced fly-tipping in the past: “Years ago, skips were placed either on the green or at the end of blocks, and there wasn’t as much fly-tipping.
