Police are hunting a gunman after a man was seriously injured in a shooting in Coventry . It happened on Far Gosford Street .

Officers were alerted to a man with a gunshot wound in the early hours of this morning (September 13). He remains hospitalised with serious injuries.

Far Gosford Street near Coventry University was cordoned off today (September 13). Investigators working at the scene established a nearby car park as the site of the shooting.

Nobody had been arrested at the time of writing. Witnesses are urged to contact West Midlands Police on 101 or provide details anonymously via Crimestoppers.
