DALLAS — A 31-year-old man died after being shot overnight in southern Dallas, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Mentor Avenue, Dallas police said in a press release. One person was found shot and was taken to a hospital, where they later died, officers said.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Eric Morgan, the release states.
Neighbors told officers they heard gunfire and looked out of their window to see a man lying in the grass and another man running from the scene, police on the scene said.
Police did not release any additional information about the victim or any possible suspects.
