INDIANA/KENTUCKY. (WFIE) - On Monday, several Indiana and Kentucky state leaders will be visiting the Tri-State to talk about the ongoing I-69 Ohio River Crossing project.

As we’ve previously reported , this new bridge will connect Henderson and Evansville.

Congressman James Comer and Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will hold a press conference at 1:30 p.m.

Officials say they will be giving an update on the progress and a tour of the construction so far.

We’re told several Congressmen will be in town, like Andy Barr, Mark Messmer and Jefferson Shreve, along with U.S. Senator Todd Young and Indiana Governor Mike Braun.

Crews say beams for the first approach bridge will continue to be delivered and lifted into place through mid-September in Evansville.
