Justin Hilton, owner and president of Rieg's Gun Shop and Range on Orange Blossom Trail, expressed excitement about the exemption.

"A lot of customers, obviously, we want to always sell and make sales and have them shooting in the range. So, I think they've kind of been waiting for this, which is good. I think it'll spark sales," Hilton said. "It's definitely been in the air and out there, and people are aware, that's for sure."

Hilton said his store is prepared with some extra inventory in case it receives more customers.
