Police at Domasi in Zomba have arrested eight suspects for committing various offences in the area.
Zomba Police publicist, Patricia Sipiliano, identified the suspects as Emmanuel Burnet (23), Chisomo Chilore (35), and three others who have been apprehended for cattle theft.
It is alleged that the five suspects broke into the kraal of Mike Kawelama, a local farmer at Bimbi in the district and stole three cattle. One has been recovered while the other two had already been slaughtered by the suspects.
The remaining suspects have been charged with theft and unlawful wounding. All suspects are from Zomba and Machinga districts respectively.
